Expansion of projects
Rodney’s dedication to community development extended beyond local initiatives. In November 2020, he traveled to Tanzania to speak at a convention and was deeply inspired by the country and its people. This experience led him to register iCARRe as an International NGO in Tanzania in January 2021, and later in Kenya in 2023, demonstrating his vision for global impact. In 2023, Rodney co-purchased a Minuteman Press franchise in Columbia, MD, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to business development. Throughout his career, Rodney has served on the boards of the Matthew Henson Neighborhood Association and the Community Development Corporation. He is also an active leader in Black Professional Men Community Initiatives and a member of Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity. As an ordained Deacon at New Kingdom Faith Christian Church, he leads the F.L.O.K. (Future Leaders of the Kingdom) Youth Ministry.
Rodney Carr’s diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and community service laid the foundation for Hoop Dreamz. Today, the organization leverages its extensive background in coaching, mentoring, and international development to provide youth with holistic opportunities in health, education, and cultural exchange.
